The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, has declared that a better country can be achieved without resorting to destruction, grievance, or retaliation.

Kumuyi, who disclosed this while speaking with journalists upon arrival at the Port Harcourt International Airport, stressed the need for dialogue to resolve conflicts.

The renowned cleric is in Port Harcourt for a six-day global conference on positive change and social impact, which is being held under the auspices of Change Makers International (CMI). This non-denominational and non-religious movement drives the change mission.

He called on Nigerians to join hands in tackling societal corruption and abnormalities, stressing the need for collective efforts to bring about positive change.

The general overseer explained that Change Makers International (CMI) was founded on the premise of changing the ills and wrong actions in society. He noted that individuals, families, religions, and governments have lost their grip on handling humanity to sanity due to rising corruption in society.
Kumuyi stated that CMI would carry out its vision of providing solutions to the myriad problems facing society, beginning with the heads of families.

He explained that the initiative was based on changing the ills and wrong actions in society, noting that individuals, families, religions, and governments have lost their grip on handling humanity to sanity due to rising corruption in society.

The cleric said, „There will be a change in the nation. It doesn‘t take a mighty effort. A little drop of water can make a mighty ocean. If we can begin to change here, as a religion, as a family, and then carry the changes to our offices, everywhere, all that we are mourning and groaning about will turn around for the better.

“Change can take place in diverse ways, but we are talking about positive change, and we will see it happen by the grace of God.

This is non-religious, non-partisan, non-denominational. This is for humanity, and we want to leave the world and our community better than we met it. And it will apply to people in different ways.

First of all, I might have to change my attitude and mindset to change many things. And when those changes come together, it changes the person and interaction with people around.“
