NPFL: Enyimba Begin Title Defence Against Insurance As Kano Battle Sunshine

Enyimba International FC of Aba will kick off their bid to retain the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title against Bendel Insurance of Benin.

The draw for the new NPFL season conducted Tuesday’s night in Abuja shows the defending champions, who crashed out of the CAF Champions League over the weekend, will host Benin Insurance at Enyimba Stadium in Aba on matchday1 of the 2023/24 campaign.

Seven-time champions, Rangers International FC of Enugu, will face Doma United FC of Gombe State in the opening Matchday one just as Akwa United will travel to Yenegoa to battle Bayelsa United.

In other matches, Plateau United will battle Shooting Stars while Rivers United will be at home to Remo Stars as returnee Kano Pillars lock horns with Sunshine Stars in Akure.
