National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to all 43 academic programmes offered by the Federal University, Kashere in Gombe State.
The approval followed the successful accreditation exercise conducted by the NUC in October and November 2023.
According to the NUC document obtained by our correspondent yesterday, all four postgraduate programmes and 32 undergraduate programmes received full accreditation, while seven undergraduate programmes received interim accreditation.
This means that the programmes have met the minimum standards set by the NUC and are eligible to run for the next five years.
Commenting on the development, the university’s vice chancellor, Professor Umaru Pate, expressed gratitude to the NUC and commended the staff involved in the accreditation exercise.
He pledged to continue working towards improving the university’s academic standards and quality assurance.
“This accreditation status is a testament to the university’s commitment to providing quality education and its efforts to become a citadel of learning. With this approval, students can be assured that the programmes offered by the Federal University Kashere meet the national standards and are recognised by the NUC,” he said.
