Oba Ajakaiye Urges Synergy To Development Communities

The Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti, Oba Adeniyi Adeola Ajakaiye has stressed the need for community leaders and other stakeholders to work together, identify and harness their potential to enhance development and economic growth at the grassroots.

This is just as the Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele admonished Nigerians to embrace peace and unity describing both important factors for the growth and development of any society.

Oba Ajakaiye who stressed the need for synergy between community leaders and the well to do sons and daughters of the soil  for the develop their community spoke during the 2023 Iyin-Ekiti Day celebration, where  chieftaincy titles were conferred on some personalities and friends of the town.

 The traditional ruler who noted that lots of potential that could be harness for development abound in the community that will make it better said, “We have visited a lot of places, tourist attractions that we need to project to the world, to bring tourists to Ekiti, to enhance the development of our town and we are putting up a strategic plan on how to develop the town.

“Iyin used to be the best planned town in the old western region and we want to continue this legacy.”

Bamidele, who is the Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District urged the people of Iyin Ekiti, his home town to continue to love one another and live in peace and harmony for the community to achieve all round development.

The federal lawmaker said, “Today has spoken out so largely again that the only way you can enhance development in a community is to have peace and unity.

“This town comprises four different quarters. We are glad today because we are talking about Iyin Ekiti, not just a quarter of the town. The event was a celebration of our unity, strengthening our union as a community. We are back hitting the ground running. “
