Obi, who stated this when he visited Efedi at her residence in Lagos State, added that she is one of the great icons of Nigeria’s democracy.

Recall that Efedi was attacked and stabbed in the face by thugs at the Nuru/Oniwo Ward, Polling Unit 065, in Surulere while waiting to vote on Saturday, February 25.

She, however, returned to vote after treating the wounds, emerging the hero of the election.

Speaking on his visit to her, Obi in a tweet said Efedi is a true manifestation of a profile of courage for a new Nigeria.

He said, “Today, I visited Mrs Jennifer Efedi.  She was attacked on 25 February in an attempt to stop her from voting. She stood her ground.  Jennifer is one of the great icons of Nigeria’s democracy.
