The youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo  has rejected the decision of the secretary general, Amb. Okey Emuchay, to reinstate a former youth president, Engr. Damain Okafor.

This is even as the youth wing has barred Emuchay, who is currently piloting the affairs of the group temporarily, from entering the national secretariat of the organisation henceforth.

They said they would not work with him and expressed anger over a statement by the national publicity secretary of the body, Dr. Alex Ogbonnia, that declared the acting youth leader, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu as a persona non grata.

They accused the secretary general who is currently overseeing the affairs of the organization, of taking a unilateral decision in reinstating the former youth president.

The youths said the secretary general lacks the power to remove and or replace any executive officer of the youth wing.
