Ondo APC Primary: Court Dismisses Jimoh Ibrahim’s Case Against Aiyedatiwa

Justice Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed the case filed by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim against the APC governorship primary election held in Ondo State on April 20, 2024.

Counsel to the Ibrahim, Olakunle Lawal, informed the court during proceedings on Wednesday that the plaintiff has a notice of withdrawal dated May 27 filed on May 29, 2024.

Counsel to the All Progressivea Congress (APC), Matthew Burka, SAN informed the court that he has been served with the notice of withdrawal and he has no objection.

Also, Bode Olanipekun, SAN, the counsel to the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa also informed the court that he has also been served with the notice of withdrawal and he has no objection.

After listening to the lawyers for the parties, the court held that the proper order to make in the circumstance was to dismiss the case of the plaintiff since the defendants have joined issues with him.
