The 7th Leadership Excellence Awards (LEEX) has announced its highly anticipated roster of winners, honouring several outstanding Nigerian leaders with leadership awards.
The awards will be held on October 31, 2025, and will recognise the roles of Nigerian leaders in governance, public service, entrepreneurship, and community development.
This landmark event will bring together dignitaries from the public and private sectors, including political officeholders and key stakeholders in nation-building.
In a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, the CEO of Amity Global Network, Dr. Alex Nwankwo, said the event aims to celebrate excellence and spotlight individuals who have made meaningful contributions to Nigeria and Africa.
This prestigious awards programme, endorsed by the African Union and the African Film Institute, recognises outstanding leaders and organisations with exceptional commitment to leadership excellence across various sectors.
He explained that among the most prominent past winners of the LEEX Awards are former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo, Current Director-General of the World Trade Organisation Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, and Billionaire Entrepreneur and Socialist Obi Cubana. All of them were recognised for their contributions to African society.
Nwankwo noted that the awards ceremony is scheduled for October 31, 2025, at the prestigious Nigeria Air Force Conference Hall in Abuja. It will mark a significant gathering of Africa’s most influential change-makers and visionaries.
He said the Leadership Excellence Awards (LEEX) have established themselves as Africa’s premier recognition platform for leadership achievement since their inception. Founded and organised by Igbere TV, the awards have grown in stature and scope, with each edition attracting a wider pool of nominees and participants from across the country.
He emphasised that the African Union’s endorsement gave the awards significant diplomatic weight, elevating them beyond a mere media event to a continent-wide celebration of leadership excellence.
