Cross River State governor Bassey Otu has charged his special assistants not to limit themselves to current achievements recorded but to intensify efforts to surpass them.

Otu gave the charge in  Calabar, while reacting to his endorsement at the weekend by his special assistants who appealed to him to vie for the seat of governor in 2027.

The state chief executive officer, who spoke on the  theme “People First in Action – The Journey so Far,” as part of the activity to mark the governor’s two years in office, averred that collective efforts would drive success.

The Cross River State governor, represented by the state commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey, expressed gratitude to his aides for their contributions to nation-building and economic development.

“The best is yet to come, and by the end of this administration, Cross River State will never remain the same,” Otu said.

In his earlier remarks, chairman of the Forum of Special Assistants,  Mr. Andrea Ekeng, described Governor Otu as a leader who stands with the people, not just sits in office.

The event celebrated the governor’s people-centric approach and progress made so far.
