Enugu State governor-elect, Barr. Peter Mbah, has said that their blueprint to transform Enugu State is achievable.

Mbah disclosed this Thursday at the official inauguration of a 60-man transition committee he  appointed to ensure the smooth transition towards his eventual swearing in  as the governor of Enugu State, come May 29, 2023.

The governor-elect said though their development plans may be ambitious since they promised to transform Enugu in every ramification, they are achievable

“It is our hope that the vision we have, Enugu will take the enviable position it occupied in terms of development.

“I know doubters and critics may doubt our plans to transform Enugu, but we believe that they can be achieved because they are achievable,” he said.

He however said that with the calibre of people recruited in the transaction team, they will be able to craft a document that would help make their development plans achievable which in turn would “drive our vision.”

He also said that he expects the committee to encapsulate all their campaign promises and help his administration to realise them.

Mbah said that their plans to provide jobs for the teeming people of the state and equip them with digital skills could be achieved when their plans are put into action which the committee would help to fine-tune.

Promising to make Enugu great or even greater, Mba said they are committed and noted that “we are resolved to see that our plans are realised.  We are fully committed to the ease of doing business to make Enugu enviable.”

The committee chairman, Engr. Ikechi Chioke, said to show Enugu that tomorrow is really here, as is the catch word of the governor-elect, he charged Mba to hit the ground running to ensure that Enugu people would feel the impact of a new government.

The co-chairman of the committee and the secretary to the state government (SSG), Prof. Simon Ortuanya said that they, as a government, would do everything possible to ensure a seamless transition and to equally do anything possible to assist the incoming administration.
