Oyemykke Bashes Omotola For Accepting Male Admirer’s Gift

A Nigerian media personality, Abisoye Olukoya Michael, popularly known as Oyemykke, has outrightly criticised Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde for a viral interview in which the mother of four disclosed accepting a gift from a male admirer.

During the interview, Omotola revealed how she had once received a car from a male admirer, making it known that her husband was not bothered by the gift, due to his confidence in her.

Oyemykke then took to social media sharing his thoughts on the viral interview of the Nollywood star by posting a video on his Instagram page explaining that, while he admires Omotola, he personally would never allow his wife, partner, or fiancée to accept such a gift. He explained that he is insecure and believes that nothing truly comes free.

Oyemykke further remarked that receiving a gift from a family friend or someone close would be justifiable, but accepting a gift from a total stranger, particularly a man, would not be acceptable to him, asking his followers how they would treat a similar situation.

The video has brought about mixed reactions among his fans. While some followers agree with Oyemykke’s views, one of his fans pointed out that since the identity of the admirer was not revealed, it could merely have been a well-intentioned enthusiast with no hidden agenda towards Omotola.
