The four-day training at the Local Government Staff Training School, State Secretariat, Ibadan, was designed to align the LGAs’ budgeting processes with the National Chart of Accounts (NCOA), ensuring transparency, accountability, and standardisation across all councils.

In his speech, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ademola Ojo, commended the proactive steps taken by the current administration, led by Governor Seyi Makinde.
He emphasised that the training reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to good governance and effective service delivery at the grassroots level.

The training was expected to enhance the capacity of local government officials and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the 2025 budgets in line with national standards.

In his remarks, Prof. Musbau Babatunde, the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to fostering good governance and harmonized budget practices throughout the state, particularly at the grassroots level.
