The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, on Thursday received his nomination form from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and formally unveiled Hon. Adesoji Adedeji as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.

The event, held in Ibadan, attracted party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and members from across the state as the APC intensified efforts to reclaim power in Oyo in 2027.

Adedeji, an economist and politician from Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area, was presented as the deputy governorship candidate amid cheers from party faithful. He pledged loyalty to the party and promised to work with Alli to deliver people-oriented leadership if elected.

Presenting the INEC nomination form, the APC Deputy National Auditor, Gbenga Olayemi, described Alli as the collective choice of the party and urged members to unite behind the ticket ahead of the election.

“On behalf of the leadership of our great party, I hereby officially present to Senator Sharafadeen Alli the nomination form from INEC as the authentic candidate of the APC for the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State,” Olayemi said.

The Oyo State APC Chairman and former Deputy Governor, Moses Adeyemo, also called on party members to put aside differences and work together for victory in 2027.

According to him, unity remains the party’s strongest asset in its quest to return to power in the state.
