Hannah Reuben crashed out in the women’s freestyle wrestling 76kg on Saturday ending Nigeria’s hope of making it to the podium at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Reuben was the last athlete left to salvage a medal for Nigeria in Paris but faltered in the first hurdle.

She lost to Mongolia’s Davaanasan Amar in their second round contest.

Amar proceeded into the next round with a 5-2 victory.
