Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders who converged on the party secretariat in Osogbo on Friday have commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for ensuring good governance in the last seven months.
In his remarks, former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola expressed his conviction that Adeleke would run a government that would bring smiles on the faces of the people just as other stakeholders gave kudos to the governor for what they described as his outstanding performance.
Oyinlola recalled the initial skepticism on the governorship of Governor Adeleke and posited that under seven months the Governor has proved skeptics wrong.
In his address, Governor Ademola Adeleke disclosed plans by his government to launch palliatives to cushion the impact of subsidy removal, declaring his administration’s readiness to make life easy for residents of Osun State.
Adeleke, who appreciated leaders of the PDP for their support since assuming office, noted that his administration has been working in line with, “our election promises and the agenda of the party.”
While detailing projects and interventions implemented so far recorded by his government in the health, education and public infrastructure renewal, Governor Adeleke said the PDP-led government in the state has achieved what the APC failed to do in seven months.
He assured party leaders and members that he will run an inclusive government that leaves no one behind, adding that, “We will all be accommodated. We will be fair to all.”
Earlier, the state party chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, who urged members to support the governor in the task of ensuring good governance in the state, assured them that they would all benefit from the administration of Governor Adeleke.
