PICTORIAL: INEC Presents Certificates Of Return To Winners Of June 20 Bye-elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Tuesdays, issued Certificates of Return (CoRs) to winners of the bye-elections held on June 20, 2026, across Rivers, Enugu, Nasarawa, Ondo and Kano States, three days after the exercises.

The certificates were presented on behalf of the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, by Supervising National Commissioner for Rivers State, Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu.

In her remarks, Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu congratulated the winners and urged them to serve their constituents diligently, saying the most important responsibility is to represent the people well.

According to a post on the verified Facebook page of INEC, she noted that Certificates of Return would also be presented to winners in Kebbi State for the Zuru State Constituency election and in Ekiti State for the governorship election.

National Commissioners representing the various constituencies took turns to present the certificates to the elected candidates, officially recognising them as the duly returned winners of their respective elections.
