National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has pledged to collaborate with the Nigeria Police to revamp the Force’s moribund vehicles and operational assets.

This was disclosed over the weekend by the executive vice chairman/CEO, NASENI and head of the management team, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, when he paid a courtesy visit to the inspector general of police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun at the Force headquarters, Abuja.

Halilu said he was happy to join the IGP to kickstart a vital conversation regarding collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure to revamp the Force’s moribund vehicles and operational assets.

He said that getting these assets back in operation will greatly boost the capacity of Nigeria Police to fulfil their mandate of securing the lives and property of Nigerians.

“Security, one of the cornerstones of human existence, is the second item on President Bola Tinubu’s eight-point Renewed Hope agenda.

“At NASENI, as Nigeria’s only purpose-built agency with the mandate to intervene in all fields of Science and Engineering infrastructure, we understand that we have a vital role to play in supporting national security,” Halilu said.
