The managing director, Aba Integrated Power Project, Ugo Opiegbe said the company has achieved a peak power production of over 75 megawatts.
Opiegbe spoke to LEADERSHIP on the sidelines of Abia State governor Alex Otti’s tour of moribund industries in the town, which was conducted by an EU business delegation.
He also made public that the company has an embedded gas-fired plant and a distribution system that is combined with the plant.
According to him, in addition, the company has built on the distribution side including four brand new injection sub-stations.
He lauded the governor for the government’s assistance to the company since its commissioning last year and also appreciated him for the tour.
During the tour, Otti noted with concern that the industries went moribund due to inadequate power supply and urged the company to brace up to the challenge.
