The President-General of the apex Idoma socio-cultural association, Ochetoha K’Idoma, Prof. Yakubu Ochefu, is set to deliver the keynote address at the unveiling of the Idoma Television’s ultra-modern studio and Abuja office.
A statement issued by the Unveiling Planning Committee chairman, Barr. David Mike Agada, disclosed that the renowned scholar will speak on the topic: “Benue South Beyond 2027: Charting a New Political and Economic Future.”
The event is scheduled for this Saturday, April 18, 2026, by 2:00pm, at Jikwoyi, Abuja.
The new broadcast facility will house Idoma TV, Idoma Voice Newspaper, and Idoma Voice Radio (Podcast), creating a consolidated multimedia hub aimed at strengthening content production, news dissemination and digital broadcasting operations.
According to the Planning Committee, the expansion into Abuja marked a significant milestone in the organisation’s growth trajectory. The Abuja office is expected to serve as a strategic link between its headquarters in Benue State and the nation’s capital, enhancing access to national institutions, policy coverage, and real-time reporting from the centre of governance.
The committee further noted that the move was driven by the need to expand reach, improve operational efficiency, and position Idoma media platforms for greater national relevance.
