A resident of the community, Haruna Danmalam, told LEADERSHIP yesterday that many people were injuried from the heavy rainfall between Saturday and Sunday.

Danmalam said the secretary of Bunza council, Malam Muhammed Umar Mawo, had visited the village and sympathised with the victims on behalf of the chairman of the LGA.

He promised that the local government would compile a report on the incident and submit to the state government for necessary action.

In a related incident, four villages in Arewa local government area  were submerged by flood.
