The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has alleged disruption of a political meeting in Isiokpo, Ikwerre local government area of the state, and alleged the arrest of three of its members during the meeting.

According to the ADC, the meeting was convened by its House of Assembly candidate for Ikwerre, Hon. Jeffrey Wobodo, ahead of his campaign activities.

According to CHANNELS TV, The party identified the detained members as Confidence Amadi, Chikezie Justice and Isaiah Thomas, alleging that they were arrested over claims of cultism which it described as baseless and politically motivated.

It condemned the alleged disruption allegedly linked with personnel of the Nigeria Police and members of OSPAC.

According to the party’s account, some participants of the meeting were also assaulted, and their mobile phones seized.
