Nigerian Afrobeats star Ruger is back, and his own label is making it official.
Blown Boy Entertainment, the singer’s self-owned record label, confirmed he will return to the music scene in August, ending a hiatus caused by a legal battle with a former girlfriend who sued him for alleged emotional distress and damages.
“That chapter is now behind him,” the label said, confirming the dispute has been fully resolved. “New music drops this August.”
Ruger, known for hits like ‘Bounce’, ‘Asiwaju’, and ‘Girlfriend’, has also announced a summer tour spanning Belgium, Málaga, Bali, Malawi, and the United States.
