The rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has called on Nigerians and the Polytechnic community to be committed to the doctrines of good virtues and faithfulness as imbibed during Ramadan.
In a statement e-signed by the rector and made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, the rector congratulated Muslim faithful on the commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
“I warmly extend my joyful greetings to all our Muslim faithful in the Polytechnic Community, in Nigeria and the world at large on the commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
“On this sacred occasion, we should remain resolutely committed, in words and actions, to the doctrines of good virtues, humility, love, compassion, resilience, perseverance, and faithfulness as imbibed during Ramadan.
“Let us show love and give to the needy, the hopeless and the under-privileged in our community, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace of Allah be upon Him).
“As we celebrate this festive period in moderation, I pray to Allah to give us long life and sound health to witness more Sallah celebrations.
“Wishing you all a Happy Sallah Celebration and Allah’s bountiful rewards,” the rector said.
