A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr Michael Auta, has applauded President Bola Tinubu for approving the conversion of the late Yakowa General Hospital, Kafanchan to a Federal Medical Centre (FMC), saying Southern Kaduna people would reciprocate the gesture by voting for him in 2027.
This comes barely a few weeks after the Federal University of Applied Sciences was equally approved for the Senatorial district.
Engr Auta commended Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Uba Sani and the member representing Zango/Jaba federal constituency and chairman, House Committee on Health, Hon Amos Gwamna for making it a reality.
Interacting with newsmen in Kaduna, Engr Auta who contested for the Kaduna South senatorial seat in the 2023 general election said, the peaceful atmosphere being provided in Kaduna and laudable achievements of Governor Sani in Kaduna State is line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
The party chieftain also commended the good people of Southern Kaduna for their homely and peaceful nature, calling on them to ensure that the gestures being extended to the region is reciprocated come 2027 by massively voting for President Tinubu and Governor Sani.
One of the key benefits highlighted by Engr Auta was the expected increase in healthcare access for the people of Kafanchan and its neighbouring communities, adding that by converting the General Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre, the region would benefit from advanced medical facilities, specialised treatments, and an overall upgrade in healthcare services.
“The conversion would also create job opportunities, providing employment for both medical and administrative staff, thus boosting the local economy,” he stressed.
He also expressed his confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu to continue driving similar transformative projects across Nigeria, highlighting that the president is focused on creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for all citizens.
The APC chieftain called on the people of Kafanchan and Kaduna State at large to take full advantage of the enhanced healthcare services available at the newly converted Federal Medical Centre, urging residents to remain committed to the government’s vision and contribute to the success of the initiative by supporting healthcare workers and maintaining the facilities.
“This is a victory for all of us, let us all ensure that we protect and make the most of this invaluable asset,” he said.
