The supporters of former governor of Ogun State, Akirogun Olusegun Osoba, have declared support for the state nominee on the Board of the newly constituted South West Development Commission (SWDC), which they said aligned with that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Osoba’s supporters, under the aegis of the Osoba Political Family, emphatically acknowledged with conviction that President Tinubu “has the discretion, following due consultations,” to zero in on nominees who will align with the President’s visions and aspirations for the betterment of the country.
This was contained in a statement released yesterday by former federal lawmaker, Hon. Adekunle Adeyemi, on an alleged “disquiet” within the political family.

Apparently reacting to a media report captioned “Disquiet In Osoba’s Political Family Over Nominees’ Into Board Of SWDC,” in which President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff (CoS), Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, was accused of substituting nominees’ names, Adeyemi dismissed the report, describing it as misleading and “nothing but an illusion, borne out of the hallucinations of the pretenders, impostors and impersonators.”

The report erroneously indicated that Osoba’s supporters in Ogun rejected the SWDC nominees because the former Deputy Governor, Segun Adesegun, and former Commissioner for Finance, Durojaiye, were not included in the President’s recent board appointments.

The report had also accused the incumbent state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, alongside Gbajabiamila as the force behind the marginalization and sidelining of Osoba’s associates in the administration of President Tinubu.
