Team FCT SWAN Begin Training For NUJ Football Tourney

FCT chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN)’s football team have begun training at the Area 3 Football Pitch ahead of the 2024 NUJ Correspondent Chapel Football Tournament.

According to the team media officer and assistant secretary, FCT SWAN, Friday Joshua, a total of 14 players took part in the first training session on Tuesday. They include veteran broadcaster Amar Ignis, Udeme George and Muyideen Jimoh. Others are Emmanuel Fashemi, Charles Aidoghie, Victor Ijomah, Imonah Franklyn and Saheed Oladimeji.

New invitee Ebuka Ike was also present alongside Ohiero Linus and Godstime Egelege-Idama. Legendary star midfielder and veteran broadcaster Calistus Ebare, Defender Micheal Obasi, Jonathan Ameh and inform striker Olalekan Kilajolu are expected to join the team today.

Team Coordinator, Tolu Oguntimehin, expressed satisfaction on the attitude of the players, saying the team have what it takes to emerge champions.

The coach of Team FCT SWAN, Abdul Onimisi, however disclosed that only the best legs will make the final list.
