Nigerian singer,  Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has addressed the persistent rumours about her being pregnant with American rapper Future’s child.

The gossip first exploded after Tems made a striking appearance at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 show during London Fashion Week last December.

Her black dress, paired with a bold purple fluffy coat and matching heels, had people speculating that her body shape hinted at a baby bump.

Recently, on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Tems finally tackled the rumors head-on. With a blend of disbelief and amusement, she expressed her confusion about why Future, of all people, became the target of such gossip.

Tems found it puzzling that, out of all her high-profile collaborations, Future’s name was thrown into the mix. She wondered why those fueling the rumors didn’t point fingers at Wizkid or Drake, two other global stars she’s worked with.

“People just take the most controversial things. Because I was thinking like, why am I pregnant for Future? Why Future? Because that’s the craziest,” she said.

Why Nollywood Producers Are Switching To YouTube

“Why not Wizkid? Why not Drake? Why not somebody else? If it was Drake, it would be the same thing but the reason why it is Future is because of his reputation.

“He has about five kids. And has a reputation of being a ladies’ man.”

In Sept. 2023, Tems was accused of being impregnated by Future, her “Wait For U” collaborator, to which she seemingly denied online. “In conclusion, you people are all mad!!!” she wrote at the time with a photo of herself.
