TETFund Board Member Pledges Stronger Oversight

Newly appointed member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) representing the North Central geopolitical zone, Dr Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi, has assumed office with a pledge to strengthen collaboration with members of staff and support the implementation of the agency’s mandate across the region.

Ocholi made the commitment during a familiarisation visit to the TETFund North Central Zonal Office in Mararaba, Nasarawa State, where he met with the management and members of staff and inspected the ongoing construction of the Fund’s permanent zonal office.

During the visit, the board member urged the workers to remain committed to professionalism, diligence and integrity in carrying out their responsibilities.

“I urge you to remain determined, committed, diligent and dedicated in the discharge of your duties because dedication and hard work always speak for themselves,” he said.

Ocholi said he would maintain regular engagement with the zonal office to monitor developments, address operational issues and strengthen cooperation between the Board of Trustees and the office.

He described the office as strategically important to TETFund’s operations in the region and stressed the need to complete the project to enhance service delivery.

Ocholi also commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for ongoing infrastructure development, particularly education projects funded through TETFund interventions, and urged staff to remain focused on improving the quality of public tertiary education through prudent management of intervention funds.

Also,the North Central Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Leticia Kpenbeen, welcomed the new board member and described the zonal office as an extension of the TETFund headquarters responsible for implementing the Fund’s programmes within the region.

She assured him of the office’s full cooperation and institutional support in the discharge of his responsibilities.
