Three ATCN Members Appointed Into FIA Commissions

The Automobile Touring Club of Nigeria, (ATCN) has announced the appointments of three of its members into various Commissions of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile  (FIA).

FIA is the world governing body of motorsport like the Formula One, World Rally Championship, World Endurance Championship, world touring car championship, World Rallycross Championship, Formula E, and various other forms of racing.

ATCN President Ishaku Bamiyi in a press statement statement named those appointed into FIA Commissions to include ATCN Vice President Adedayo Aderugbo as ASN member of the FIA’s Off-Road and Hill Climb Commissions;

Linda Dominguez as an ASN member of the FIA’s GT Commission and Richard Rittner, who was appointed as the  Clchairman, Board of Trustees of Drifting Motorsport Association and Drag Racing Commission of the FIA respectively.

According to Bamiyi, their appointments by the FİA World Motorsport Council is for two years, 2024 – 2025.

“In these period, Adedayo Aderugbo, Linda Dominguez and Richard Rittner are expected to bring their knowledge on board the FIA while the ATCN will hope their experiences at the International licensing and sanctioning motorsports body impacts the growth of motorsports in the country,” Bamiyi said.

ATCN President Ishaku Bamiyi is also currently serving in the FİA Sports  Members Club Committee.

 

The Automobile Touring Club of Nigeria, (ATCN) as an affiliate of Federation International de L’Automobile (FIA) is an organisation that promotes and sanctions motorsport programmes, events and mobility in Nigeria.
