President Bola Tinubu has appointed Hon. Ginika Florence Tor as a member of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC), representing the South-East, as part of a fresh round of 26 appointments into 10 federal government agencies.
The appointments were announced on Monday in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.
Before her latest appointment, Tor served as the Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC) from 2020 to 2025, having been appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
She is currently the Principal Liaison Officer to the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Benjamin Obiora Nwoye, a position she assumed in April 2026.
As a member of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, Tor will serve alongside Dr. Mai Adamu Yau (Borno), Engr. Lawrence Okoh (Edo) and Bello Morenike Iyabode (Kogi).
President Tinubu also appointed Major General Junaid Bindawa (rtd.) as Chairman of the Commission, while Dr. Ogbole Ene Lilian (Benue), Oladele Olatubosun (Oyo) and Yakubu Umar Barde (Kaduna) were named commissioners. Former House of Representatives member, Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas, was appointed Secretary of the Commission.
In other appointments, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, was named Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), while Abba Abubakar Aliyu retained his position as the agency’s Director-General.
The President also appointed Dr. Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET), and Dr. Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Atomic Energy Commission.
Others include Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu, who was appointed Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, and Engr. Julius Oloro, who will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation.
According to the Presidency, all the appointments take immediate effect.
