President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Tijjani Musa Tumsah (TMT) as the new managing director of the Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA) under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
The appointment, announced in a statement on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, is part of the President’s efforts to bolster the organisation’s efficiency.
Leadership gathered that Tumsah was the former Vice Chairman of the Presidential Committee on North East Initiatives (PCNI) and the pioneer National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC.
President Tinubu expects Tumsah to use his wealth of experience to bolster the organisation’s efficiency, aligning with the administration’s commitment to improving citizens’ lives.
In her Congratulated message, Yobe South APC Zonal Women Leader Hajiya Gwamnaty Mairiga Umar Congratulates TMT for his Appointment As MD of Chad Basin Development Authority, described him as hardworking and leadership, expressing confidence that his appointment will bring positive change to the region.
She emphasised the CBDA’s critical role in managing natural resources and fostering development. She expressed hope that TMT’s leadership will focus on sustainable growth, job creation, and women’s and youth empowerment.
Mairiga also assured Tijjani Musa Tumsa of the continued support of the Zonal Women in his efforts to drive progress in the region.
