JOHN 3:14-16; NUMBERS 21:4-9, John 3:14-16

  • 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
  • 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
  • 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Numbers 21:4-9

  • 4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
  • 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
  • 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
  • 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
  • 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
  • 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

OPENING REMARK:

For all our brethren in all locations, for all our people joining us online, and everywhere, get ready, something will happen that has never happened before. Blind eyes and deaf ears will open, and many more spectacular miracles will happen. For those who have been destroyed by the enemy of their souls and life, today, the Lord will deliver and bring you up in Jesus name.

INTRODUCTION:

As we begin tonight by talking about Jesus our Saviour, our Lord and Redeemer, our Deliverer and All in all for us, we are talking about the words which He spoke Himself in (John 3:14-16) Here, He is talking to you, and you want to clear every hurdle so that He will manifest His power which He has never manifested before in your life. Whosoever believes and still believe in Him will not perish. The promise of God will be manifested in your life.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Christ loves everyone and He is no Respecter of persons, He does not care where you come from on earth (South, West, East or North), whosoever believes in Him shall be saved, because He knows that what everyone needs is salvation through the power of His cross. You single out Christ because He is above all. It is not Christ and your religion, or Christ and your idols, Christ and philosophers, psychiatrics, only He has power to save, heal and deliver.

I am talking to you today on TOTAL HEALING HIS TOTAL HEALING FOR EVERYONE THROUGH HIS CROSS. Miracles from Christ are for everyone, with no exception, no matter the problems and challenges. Salvation, healing for your spirit, soul, and body. wound, deliverance, total redemption and recovery for everyone through His Cross. Whatever you are going through, you are part of the ones whom Jesus has come to visit tonight. You are part of that ‘everyone’. He came down for you tonight. Total healing for everyone.

  1. CORRUPTION, CONSEQUENCES AND CONFESSION OF HABITUAL SECRET SINS (Numbers 21:4-7; Romans 3:8-20,23; Proverbs 28:9,13; 1 John 1:9-10)

The children of Israel came out of bondage which they have been in for many years. It so happened that their corruption began to manifest as well as the consequences of it.

Then they came and confessed before the Lord. That is where forgiveness starts, you know you cannot hide yourself from your doctor. If you keep quiet and say you are alright, in good condition when you are not, the doctor will not know what to do. You must confess your sins as you come to Christ. A transformation is coming in your life.

As the Israelites were going in their journey, they became discouraged. Discouragement comes to everyone, how you act, what you do with it is what determines whether you will be on the right side or left side of God. Some people do some weird things at this time, some even kill themselves.

Picture yourself as holding a candle among many other people and one person lights his own candle, then the next one lights and the next and the next. Before you know it, everybody’s candle is lighted. This is how discouragement is, it is contagious. If you have it and speak out words of criticism, condemnation, despair and fear about what the future holds, another will take it up and it goes on and on. We are copycats, when someone says or does something, we all repeat and continue to say and do it. This is why the Bible says, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.

There are two sides to the issues of life. The people broke the commandment of God by talking against Him, they spoke against God and Moses. This is why the commandments are divided into two, the first part concerns our relating with God, and everybody have broken this. If you check, you will see that you have broken the commandments of God because all have sinned. If you take note, you will know that you have not loved Him or do things the way He wanted.

The second part concerns how the people spoke against Moses. Many of you have also spoken against other people in the family, your parents, church, school, leaders in communities, etc. We always see ourselves as Angels while we blame others for what we did wrong, or what happened to us because of our carelessness.

When you speak or sin against God your Creator, there are consequences. When we sin against man, our neighbours, there are consequences. When the children of Israel came out of Egypt, they were so happy because they have been in the bondage for many years, they even composed songs of thanksgiving. But we are creatures of forgetfulness. We easily forget what God did for us yesterday, last week or month, we are always thinking of today, and ones He is yet to do. Have you shown enough gratitude for what God has done? God fed them in the wilderness for 40 years but they easily forgot that He promised to take them to the Promise Land.

This is how God has done so much for you by giving you life, good health since you were born. The children of Israel forgot all the promises and complained bitterly of Moses bringing them to the wilderness to die. This is how we forget ourselves to the point of being temporarily mad, insane and we get angry against God and our fellow men. They complained of no food when they just ate manna that monring. This is how people lie against God, themselves and others. They complained about lack of water after drinking water from the rock in the past.

The corruption of the Israelites oozed out and defiled everything, it sold them out, it was so visible and could not be hidden, they were so obvious. As you point a finger of accusation to them, remember the remaining four point to you. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

vs 6. As a result of their sin, the Lord sent fiery serpents to bite them because what you sow is what you reap. The serpents were in the wilderness before this time but they did not go them because they did not sin. As soon as their cover of protection was off, they were attacked and many of them died. Was that the will of God for them? No.

Some people assume that all terrible things they go through is the will of God: dying, poor, sick of incurable diseases, under oppression, etc. All these evil things you brought into your life because of sin. Many Israelites died, but you will not die in your sins. Please, stop blaming God, Moses, and other people for your problems. Come to God and admit your faults. If you confess your sins, God is faithful to forgive, pardon and cleanse you from your sins because of His compassion. Tonight, the mercy, compassion and turning-around of God will flow into your lives.

vs 7. The people came to Moses, no one forced them. They confessed their own sins, not the sins of others. Problems come to you when you sin against God, but when you repent and turn around, you will receive mercy. They didn’t first talk about the serpent bites. Some people only want healing and deliverance, but are not ready to pay the price of repenting of their sins. They didn’t confess the sin of Moses, some people confess the sin of others, they even claim that what others did was what pushed them into sin – what their parents, spouses, friends, etc did not do. Today is your day. If you come to the Lord, confess your sins and ask for the mercy of God, you will be saved.

  1. COMPASSION AND CURE FROM THE CROSS OF THE HEALING SAVIOUR

(Number 21:8-9; Matthew 14:14; Mark 1:40-42; Luke 7:12-16)

Jesus is the Healing Saviour. When you organize and reorientate yourself and come to Him, forgiveness and conversion which bring a new life will come to you. He will help and save you no matter what you have done wrong.

Cure comes by reason of compassion and love of God. It is not His will that anyone should perish but that all should come to repentance. Have you heard the story of the great city of Nineveh in which everyone, old and young had gone into sin and Jonah was sent to warn them of the impending judgment. Jonah thought that as soon as God pronounced judgment, there was no going back. But the people of Nineveh repented and turned around in response to the warning of Jonah. This is the right step in the right direction. They were spared of the impending destruction. Jonah failed to realize that the mercy and love of God was available for the people, he was angry, thinking that as soon as he had pronounced the judgment, there was no way of escape for them.

The children of Israel came to Moses and confessed what they had done wrong, they also wanted healing. God is able to save, heal, deliver, set free and turn all lives of people around. He gave them a remedy: Moses should make a fiery serpent of brass and lift it up on a pole. As many as looked upon it will be healed and saved. Tonight, salvation, healing, deliverance, total renewal will happen. All who died, died of their sins died not because of Moses or Aaron. Those who were still alive looked up individually, no one looked up for the sake of another. Moses did not need to go and touch them, all they needed to do was to look up at the brazen serpent. It worked for everyone, just as it will work for you tonight. Christ has been lifted up when He died on the Cross, He became our Substitute, Saviour and Healer, and by His stripes, we were healed. It doesn’t matter how long, just look up and you will touched. They didn’t need to run around or shout, they only did what they were told to do, and they were healed.

Jesus made allusion to this when He was on earth:

John 3:14-15

  • 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
  • 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

He has taken our guilt and sin away by virtue of His death on the cross. As you come to Him, salvation will be yours. Not only this, you will also be healed of all sicknesses. When our Lord was on earth, a leper came, and he was healed and made whole. A centurion came on behalf of his sick servant, and he was healed. Jesus healed them all, and He will do same today. He will speak to the infirmity in your life and you will be healed. Anywhere you are in any part of the world, a miracle of healing will come to you.

  1. CONVERSION THROUGH THE CROSS THE CROSS OF CHRIST, OUR HUMILIATED SUBSTITUTE (John 3:14-16; Acts 3:19-23,26; James 5:15-16,19-20; Romans 10:1)

Jesus took our place and pain, hence, He was our Substitute who was humiliated for our sake. He was sinless, spotless, pure, but He suffered what we should have suffered. He took our place, and tasted all punishment and pain for us. He was tied to the pole and whipped with stripes that had sharp objects attached to them which tore at His flesh. By coming to Him, He will not reject, but pardon and show you mercy. He will convert you and change your life. He will transform, rejuvenate and renew your nature, and you will no longer do evil. He will make you a brand new man, woman, father, husband, wife, mother, etc.

John 3:14-16. The children of Israel could not help themselves, but God has a way out for them. There is no other way of forgiveness, only thought the name of Jesus. He is the only One who can save and change us.

There is no other name through which we can be saved, the Son of Man must be lifted up for salvation to come. Your good works cannot save you, your salvation and redemption is through Christ alone. Whosoever – in past century, this century, and the one to come – believes on Him will not perish. Jesus is the only Saviour. Some people think that when they pay their dues, and do some good works, they will be saved.

On the last day, we will go to heaven not because we have read the Bible, or the good works of our hands but because of the death of Jesus on the Cross. There is no other way or avenue to salvation. Embrace and look on to Him as your only Saviour, He will save you and you will not perish.

Mark 16:15-16

  • 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
  • 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

He will write your name in the Book of Life and you will have eternal life. Everyone who trusts in Him will live. He will heal you, blind eyes and deaf ears will open. Whatever it is you need in your life will be given to you. Then He will show you His mercy and goodness and your life will never be the same. But it is necessary that you come to Him as the people came to Moses. As you look up to Him, salvation will come to you.
