Transcorp Power Plc, a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), has announced a total dividend of N41.25 billion to shareholders at its 13th Annual General Meeting in Abuja, on Monday.
The company said the dividend included an interim payment of N11 billion, or N1.50 kobo per share, paid in August 2025, and a final dividend of N30 billion, or N4.00 per share.
Shareholders approved the audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025., in which the company reported revenue of N398.27 billion for the year, up from N305.94 billion in 2024.
Chairman of Transcorp Power Plc, Emmanuel Nnorom, stated that the company reduced loan obligations by approximately N7 billion during the year.
He said the company added 100MW to its output, during the year under review.
“The commissioning of GT20 added 100MW to our output, raising our average available capacity from 417MW to 550MW, which is intended to strengthen our generation profile and support higher electricity supply to the grid.”
He added: “We reduced our loan obligations by approximately N7 billion during the year, which raised our financial position and reduced interest costs.”
On his part, the MD/CEO of Transcorp Power Plc, Peter Ikenga, said the 2025 results reflected capacity expansion and generation changes despite network transmission issues.
He said: “We continue to work with the Transmission Company of Nigeria and the regulator to address evacuation bottlenecks and improve reliability.”
One shareholder, Patrick Ajudua, said Transcorp Power had shown power in operations compared to other generation companies in Nigeria.
Several shareholders raised concerns about vandalism to grid infrastructure and called on community leaders, stakeholders, and government agencies to protect such assets.
Transcorp Power Plc generates electricity as a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, which has investments in power, hospitality, and energy sectors.
