The Director Army Public Relations, Maj.- Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu while disclosing this added that the terror kingpin who was killed on Wednesday 20 March 2024 had often disguised himself to deceive and kidnap unsuspecting victims.

The Army Spokesman said that the unnamed terrorist was eliminated in a sting operation following credible intelligence during a gun battle with the troops.

According to Gen. Nwachukwu, the troops also uncovered and destroyed a house used as a covert facility by insurgent kingpins to store drugs and administer treatments to wounded insurgents.

In a separate counter insurgency operation in Taraba State, the statement said troops neutralized another terrorist in Kutoko Village, in Takum Local Government Area of the state.
