Veteran Nigerian singer Wande Coal has released his highly anticipated fifth studio album, ‘King Coal’, a 15-track project featuring an impressive lineup of Afrobeats stars and rising talents.
The album, which officially dropped on Friday, includes collaborations with Wizkid, DJ Tunez, Qing Madi, Tiwa Savage, Ruger and BNXN, among others.
Speaking about the project, Wande Coal revealed that he travelled to Ghana specifically to receive a verse from Wizkid for the album’s closing track, ‘Oshey’, a collaboration that reunites two of Nigeria’s most influential Afrobeats stars.
‘King Coal’ follows weeks of anticipation from the singer, who is widely celebrated for his distinctive falsetto and hit songs, including ‘Iskaba’. The album further cements Wande Coal’s enduring influence in the music industry while showcasing his ability to blend established acts with emerging talents in a project that celebrates the evolution of Afrobeats.
