“We Have To Keep Our Heads Up”: Iwobi Insists Fulham Will Keep Fighting Despite Poor Run

Alex Iwobi has insisted that Fulham F.C. will not give up on their season despite a worrying slump in form that has placed growing pressure on the team.

The midfielder admitted results have been disappointing in recent weeks but maintained that the squad remains determined to end the campaign strongly.

Fulham’s recent performances in the Premier League have raised concerns among supporters after the club endured four defeats in their last six league matches, a run that has threatened to derail their progress this season.

The difficult period was made even worse by an unexpected elimination from the FA Cup, where the London side were knocked out by Championship club Southampton F.C.. The result dealt a significant blow to the ambitions of manager Marco Silva and his squad, who had hoped to enjoy a deeper run in the competition.

Despite the setbacks, Iwobi has called on his teammates and supporters to remain optimistic as Fulham look to turn their fortunes around.

Speaking on his personal YouTube vlog, the Nigeria international emphasised the importance of maintaining belief during difficult moments.

“It’s about continuing to be positive and continuing to be vibrant,” Iwobi said.

“I always try to stay positive no matter what the circumstances are.

“Obviously, the results haven’t been going our way recently, which is frustrating for everyone. But we have to keep our heads up. We have to keep fighting. We’re going to keep pushing until the very end of the season, giving 100 per cent in every single game.”

Fulham now face another stern test as they travel to the City Ground to take on high-flying Nottingham Forest F.C., who have impressed this season under manager Nuno Espírito Santo.

The fixture is expected to be a challenging one for the West London side, with Forest currently enjoying strong form and pushing for a high finish in the league table.

Nevertheless, Iwobi believes Fulham still have the quality and determination required to turn things around if they remain focused and united.

The former Arsenal F.C. and Everton F.C. midfielder has been one of Fulham’s more influential players this season, contributing both goals and assists while providing energy in midfield.

His message, he said, is simple: the team must not allow recent disappointments to define the remainder of their campaign.

With several crucial matches still to play before the end of the season, Fulham will be hoping to rediscover their momentum quickly and give supporters something to cheer about in the closing weeks.

For Iwobi, the focus remains firmly on resilience.

“We just have to keep going,” he added. “That’s the most important thing.”
