The Governor commended the various agencies enforcing security in bandits-troubled Birnin-Gwari and its environs. He said the area has been stable, especially on the highway, in the last six months.

Governor Sani, however, expressed confidence that, with sustained security operations in the area, the economy of Birnin-Gwari will bounce back in no distant future.

Speaking during the flag-off of the 35.6-kilometer road construction, which is billed to start from Bagoma to Gagumi through Ungwan Fari, Idi Labo, Awaro, Tashan Keji, and Sabon Layi, Governor Sani said the road, when completed, will link 62 farming communities to the market.

Earlier, the Emir of  Birnin Gwari, Malam Subair Jibril Maigwari II. expressed appreciation to the Governor and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for fulfilling their promises to bring developmental projects to the neglected Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area.
