The whereabouts of the Chairman, Abia State chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Felix Olunkwa remained unknown after his wife raised the alarm on Sunday.
This is even as the state command of the Nigeria Police has not reacted to the alarm which has rattled both the chapter and the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Wife of the missing NIPR chairman, Mrs Olunkwa had raised the alarm after the husband failed to return home from Alaoji Spare Parts Market along Aba axis of Enugu-Port Harcourt Express where he had gone to repair his car.
Mrs Olunkwa said when the husband called her on phone at around 8pm, he said he left the mechanic’s workshop at around 7pm and was driving toward Umuahia, the state capital.
“Later at about 10 pm,” she explained, “I called him back, but the effort proved abortive and since then, he has remained incommunicado.”
According to the embittered wife, the car is an ash coloured Toyota 4RUNNER Jeep (2000 model) with registration number HS 391 ABC.
She appealed to the police and other security agencies to step into the matter to rescue her husband to save the family from the pain and agony it is passing through.
