“As partners in progress, I believe the members of the organized Labour Unions in our dear State are aware of the commitment of the present administration to reform the conduct of Government business towards inducing sustainable socio-economic development.

Buni equally restated the commitments of his administration towards formulating more policies and programmes that will further help in lifting the living standards of the people across the state.

“Our pursuits however, do not imply that we would not continue to pay attention to the welfare of workers. Within the limit of our scarce resources, we would continue to provide the necessary incentives including training and retraining and various welfare packages to increase higher commitment and productivity among workers.

“Let me at this point express our appreciation to the Nigeria Labour Congress and other unions for being grateful to the efforts being made by the present administration in the State especially in the area of effective service delivery geared towards improving the general wellbeing of the people of the State.

“There is no doubt that the appreciation expressed about us and our administration by the Chairman of the NLC on behalf of all members and affiliates of the organisation will continue to inspire us in the drive at providing more social services for the progress of the people,” the governor assured.
