Member representing Fika/Fune federal constituency under the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe State, Hon. Muhammad Jajere, has commissioned a 6-classroom block at Gadaka Community in Fika local government area of Yobe State.
Speaking during the event, the lawmaker said the school has historically played a pivotal role in the educational development of several residents in the area.
He, however, regretted that the school has suffered from infrastructural decay and vandalism over the years.
According to him, “I want to use this opportunity to inform you that any nation that desires to progress and compete favorably with the rest of the world must invest hugely in the education sector.”
“The newly structured, well-equipped classrooms are part of my commitment to revitalising the school’s legacy and reaffirming that education remains the cornerstone of a progressive society,” he said.
Underscoring the importance of education, Jajere pledged to continue making it a priority by giving it the needed attention and upholding its quality in the constituency.
He added, “I will continue to provide more infrastructural projects across the federal constituency to address the deficit being witnessed.”
The lawmaker urged the school management to use the structure effectively, in accordance with the project’s purpose.
Some of the community leaders in the area commended the lawmaker for the infrastructural intervention at the school.
Our correspondent, who was in the venue, reported that the event was witnessed by prominent stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), youths, women, and businessmen from across the constituency.
