Youth Programme In Abia Attracts $3m Sponsorship

‎‎A 1,200 youths programme embarked by the Abia State government has attracted $3million sponsorship funding from MasterCard Foundation.

‎‎The commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, stated this while briefing the press on this week’s state executive council meeting presided by the governor, Alex Otti, in Umuahia, the state capital.

‎‎”This huge injection of sponsorship funds into the state economy is due largely because of the sterling governance credentials of the governor, Alex Otti,” he said.

‎‎Explaining that it is also because of Otti’s personal integrity,  he noted that “the programme is designed to equip our youths with skills in garment making and leather works”.

‎‎According to him, the programme which is through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development is in collaboration with Ethnocentric Ltd.
