The Implementation Support Mission (ISM), which runs from October 5 to 10, 2026, is reviewing project implementation, identifying emerging challenges, strengthening coordination and assessing progress towards achieving the Project Development Objective.
The Zamfara State Project Coordinator, Mohammed Nasiru, disclosed this to journalists on Friday, saying the sessions provided an opportunity for state coordination offices to share implementation experiences, achievements, challenges and priority actions needed to accelerate project activities.
During the mission, Nasiru presented a report highlighting achievements recorded by the Zamfara office, including the construction and rehabilitation of livestock infrastructure, capacity-building programmes for beneficiaries, input support for livestock farmers and statewide vaccination exercises.
The report also covered other technical support provided to improve livestock production in the state.
The Zamfara team reaffirmed its commitment to effective project implementation, with a focus on improving livestock productivity, strengthening the resilience of livestock-dependent communities and promoting sustainable commercialisation across priority livestock value chains.
The mission’s task team leader and the National Project Coordinator commended the Zamfara L-PRES team for the quality of infrastructure delivered under the project.
The state coordination office also thanked the L-PRES National Coordination Office and the mission team for their continued technical support, guidance and engagement to strengthen implementation across participating states.
