Dr. Muhammad highlighted the distressing case, stating, “We received a report that one Aisha Mustapha of Tsafe town brutally assaulted her 12-year-old stepdaughter by melting nylon on her body and forcing her to drink her urine.”

Expressing the government’s stance on such abuse, the Commissioner asserted, “The government of Zamfara State will not condone this kind of abuse, and soon, the accused woman will be taken to court to face the consequences of her actions.”

Dr Nafisa assured that the Zamfara State government, in collaboration with various non-governmental organizations in the state, would pursue the case rigorously to ensure that justice is served if the accused woman is found guilty.

The victim’s mother, Malama Maryam Muhammad, pleaded with the state government and concerned non-governmental organizations operating in the state to thoroughly investigate all the alleged atrocities committed by the accused person.

She expressed her gratitude to the Commissioner and officials of non-governmental organizations for their concern and support regarding her daughter’s distressing ordeal.
