South Africa coach Hugo Broos has disclosed that the Bafana Bafana are not afraid of the Super Eagles and other teams in Africa ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Bafana Bafana will play as guests of the Super Eagles of Nigeria on June 3 before hosting Zimbabwe a week later.

With two matches honoured, the Broos-led team are placed second on the log trailing leaders Rwanda by a point while their June opponents, Nigeria and Zimbabwe are placed third and fifth, respectively, both with two points.

In a chat with Sunday World, Broos said after the team’s impressive 3-3 draw against Algeria in a friendly game, that his ambition is to qualify South Africa for the 2026 World Cup and doesn’t see any team stopping his dream.

“We played against a very strong team, but I do not think there was much difference between the quality of our game and the quality of the game in Algeria,” Broos said per Sunday World.
