A group of twenty-first-term governors in the country have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid come 2027.

They made the decision yesterday during their meeting held at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, the capital of Kebbi State.

Reading from the Communique shortly after their meeting, Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu of Kebbi State said the Communique was issued in the spirit of patriotism, responsibility, accountability, and national duty, with a collective responsibility and commitment to promoting stability, the continuity of Mr President’s reforms, and inclusive national development.

According to the statement, the first-term governors believed that the reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu were necessary to address years of fiscal, security, productivity and development challenges.

It added that the APC’s first-term chief executive of the twenty states, who resolved to support the President’s second-term bid, was anchored on the conviction that Nigeria required a courageous leader like His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure policy continuity and stronger collaboration between the federal government and the state governments.

“Therefore, we declare our total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the continuity of the renowned hope agenda beyond 2027”, the Communique stated.

Because the country also needed a development agenda that rewards production, enterprises, agriculture, innovation and hard work. It added.     The governors further condemned in totality the constant attacks on Nigerians in South America.

They also expressed their anger over the different attacks and Kidnappings of students, worshippers and other innocent citizens in the country.

While urging people in their respective states to remain calm, they promised to take a bold step in reducing the banditry attacks, kidnappings, and killings across the states.
