43-yr-old Man Arrested For Alleged Rape Of Minor In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Rabiu Usman, 43-year-old man for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl in Timdore District, Ganye local government area of the state.

Commissioner of Police, Adamawa Command, Danwambo Morris said the arrest followed a referral from the Chief Magistrate Court in Ganye after the victim’s mother reported the incident.

Investigations revealed that the incident took place on February 16, 2025, when the young girl, who was attending a wedding ceremony in Timdore village went to a nearby house to get water.

The suspect, was alleged to have dragged her to the back of the compound and sexually assaulted her.

The victim was taken to a medical facility in Ganye for examination and treatment, while the police launched an investigation.
