All Rights Foundation (TAF Africa), formerly the Albino Foundation, has charged President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to appoint persons living with disability (PWDs) into his cabinet and other public positions.

Chairman of TAF Africa Mr Jake Epelle who stated this during a courtesy call of PAF Africa on leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said Tinubu and the APC should adopt PDP’s inclusive policy with regards to enabling PWDs to contest elections on its platform.

Epelle, said his Foundation came to appreciate PDP for producing the first PWD governor not only in Nigeria but Africa, an albino in person of Mr Umo Eno as the Governor-elect of Akwa Ibom State.

He said the Foundation identified Mr Eno and the PDP for winning the Akwa Ibom State governorship election.

The Foundation boss also thanked the PDP for producing another PWD as governorship candidate.

Alhaji Isah Liman Kantigi contested the March 18 governorship election in Niger State on the platform of PDP.

Epelle regretted that the Foundation would have extended the facilitation of international recognition which Eno enjoyed to Kantigi if PAF had known the Niger State candidate was contesting.

The Foundation said it was impressed by the level of inclusiveness given by the PDP to women and persons with disabilities.

Mr Epelle used the occasion of the visit to invite the PDP acting national chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum to an international conference to be hosted by TAF Africa next on May 18, this year in Abuja.

PDP acting national chairman, Ambassador Damagum, national woman leader, Prof Stella Effa-Attoe and the national publicity secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, in separate comments defended the party’s inclusive policy while promising to keep respecting Nigerians’ rights, particularly members to attain different public and party positions.
