Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has welcomed Nigerians to 2024 and said that it is a new dawn, a new beginning in our collective march to national greatness and urged Nigerians to hold the leaders accountable.

In a statement by the national chairman of APM, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, and made available to newsmen in Abuja, yesterday, he said, “APM sees the light in the tunnel of national rebirth and national reconstruction that will accelerate economic growth, political stability and social cohesion if Nigerians join hands to redirect the ship of state from its perilous course that has impoverished millions of compatriots.”

He urged Nigerians to see the beginning of this New Year as an occasion to individually and collectively resolve to build the Nigeria of our dream where no person is oppressed.

“As we play our roles in nation building, the economy will rebound with prosperity, job creation and better life for all. Indeed, Nigerians had unprecedented tough times in 2023. But tough times never last, tough, resilient, resourceful people do. With God in our side, we shall overcome all obstacles and move the nation to the next level of prosperity and greatness,” he said.

He said poor leadership and ill-conceived policies have been the bane of Nigerian governments since independence in 1960, adding that in 2024, Nigerians will take their national destiny in their hands, hold governments at all levels accountable in renewed effort to build a better society.

“It is time for patriotism, time to serve our fatherland with love and strength and faith; one nation bound in freedom, faith and unity. APM will be in the forefront of this national rescue mission. Nigeria is the only country we can call our own, we are duty bound to halt the drift to economic stagnation, political upheavals, ethnic conflicts, terrorism, insurgency, banditry and kidnapping,” he said.
