Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has approved the reduction in the official working hours for state’s workers in the month of Ramadan.

The time adjustment was conveyed through a letter signed by the state’s Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Hamidu M. which was made available to LEADERSHIP in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

According to the letter, workers in the state will now resume work by 8:00 am and close for work by 3:00 pm, Monday to Thursday.

However, workers during the holy month are directed to work between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon on Fridays.

The state government noted that the adjustment only covers the month of Ramadan, stating that normal working hours commence immediately after the fasting period.
