Veritas University, Abuja has warned its students against violating the dress code of the institution.
Acting Dean, Student Affairs, Rev. Fr. Dr. Michael Mary Akaigwe, gave the warning in a press statement on Saturday.
Akaigwe said the University has set up a special task force effective from Monday, May 13th, 2024, to
uphold the dress code in its entirety.
The statement further warned male students wearing earrings, and some female students wearing tops that are provocative (crop tops) or distracting to avoid the act.
“It is important to uphold the dress code of Veritas University, as outlined in the Student’s Handbook. Unfortunately, we have noticed that some students are not following the dress code.
“We have also noticed abnormalities in the colours of hair attachments, extravagant eyelashes, and long, terrifying nails and henna on the bodies of some.
“Effective from Monday, May 13th, 2024, a special task force from the Student Affairs Unit will be responsible for upholding the dress code in its entirety.
“Ensure you dress properly and comply with the services the task force is rendering to our University Community,” it added.
